Information Management

Expert Guidance

Information is both electronic and physical. The organisation must be capable of managing this information regardless of its source or format. ‘Information management’ is an umbrella term that encompasses all the systems and processes within an organisation for both the creation and use of corporate information.

Information management is not just about the technology but also about the business processes and practices that support the creation and use of the information. It is also about the information itself, including the structure of its metadata and the content quality. Information Management therefore encompasses people, process, technology and content.
